Listbox question

Hi all i was wondering if one of you could help me. I am trying to make something happen but it doesnt seem to be working. I have a listbox, edit box and a button. When i click the button i want it to select the first item in the listbox and put that item into the edit box. But i can only seem to make this happen once no matter how many times i press the button. Each time i click the button i need it to happen for each item in the listbox. Can anyone help me. Thankyou.
