click associated file and open prog and load file

Hi All, i am pretty new to delphi, and I wonder if anyone could help
me with question. I have built the basic text editor in d6 and
started adding a few bits more like a spellcheker, but I am stumpted
as to how to load an associated file in the prog when the file icon
is pressed. The prog opens OK, but no loading of file. Any help would
be appreciated. I have scoured the web and delphi help to no avail. I
would have thought it is a pretty basic thing to want to add. But
very difficult to find solution. thanks JH.
