avoid error message if help topic does not exist

My app displays random topics from a help file which I am continuously updating. The random selection is based on the help context number generated by my app.
The problem is that, if there is no corresponding help topic, I get the error message: "The topic does not exist. Contact your application vendor for an updated help file. (129)"
I would like to prevent this message from appearing.
Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.
