How to add Items to a Delphi ComboBox

Hi..I'm sorry if this is something easy, I searched the forum but found vague replies to what I need.
S o, how do I add items to a Delphi ComboBox.
I don't want to use the String List Editor, mainly because I have to be able to pass the item chosen at runtime to another object. A timer, I basically allowing the user to set the timer interval.

Can anyone help me out?
