There is an error on the Acron tutorial. The code listed is :

Moet met D3 de inhoud van een willekeurige audio cd inlezen. Heb al gekeken bij CDDB.ORG en FreeDB.org, maar de unit die ik heb (CDINFO.PAS) genereert een
querystring die door beide sites niet herkend wordt. Voorbeeld: de cd Making movies van dire straits heeft 7 nummers. Deze 7 nummers (de titels) wil ik in ene lijstje krijgen. Have you actually tested the code before explaining it for Disabling individual radion group item:

I would like to hide a certain row in StringGrid on DElphi and also I wanna display a series, already have a TChart on my form, whenever a certain cell is changed. The problem with shortdateformat. I set shortdateformat at the beginning of my applications, but recently I've discovered that when I create a SQL command by code like qry.sql.text = 'select * from "anydb" where datefield ="' + DateToStr( anydate ) + '"'; it shows an error cause the BDE uses the windows setting and not my shortdateformat, so it shows an error. BTW, it is D3 I'm using.

I have never seen a tutorial ( although I have seen only lesson 1 -> 3) as down to earth as this (yours) for programming. I think you should publish a book on delphi and make it readily available to the entire world.

Ik was onbekend met delphi en omdat er nu een cursus delphi in het tijdschrift "elektuur" staat, had ik daar een Delphi CD besteld. The cheapest new version is Delphi 7 Personal; its costs around $100 and has all the possibilities of its bigger brothers, except for handling databases and Internet stuff.
If you're a non-professional user (student, hobby) you could try to get a second hand Delphi CD from a programmer that has updated his system to a higher level. Delphi 4 or 5 Professional give you more possibilities than the Personal 6 or 7, and they should almost be free nowadays ;-) Tip: ask around for older Delphi versions "for educational purposes" at Delphi-related hang-arounds, such as in DelphiLand's Forum, other Delphi forums, Delphi newsgroups,... Good luck!

Bedankt voor deze tutorial, mijn Pascal 'kennis' is ver weg gezakt, maar C en C++ (onder Windows) zit wel snor. Ik heb voor het volgende project Delphi kennis nodig, ik zie hier dat ik al een heel eind met C++ en Windows kennis kom, Rik.

ik vind dit een zeer goede site, wel zou ik adviseren om nog meer code's erbij te zetten (vooral dan bij het nederlands). Verder krijgt dit een 10/10 !
Toch heb ik nog een probleem : Hoe maak je een chatbox? Wat ik bedoel is : 2 computers aangesloten op een netwerk die kunnen communiceren met elkaar ! (Ik zou graag de code eens zien) Alvast bedankt !

I am from India. I am just learning delphi( version 4 ). Realy it is very good place to exchange Idias/tips/tricks. I got solution for setting the date style to 'dd/mm/yyyy',The standard that we follow.
I searched lot of web site related to delphi. This is the only web site which solved my problem.
